On March 19, 2026, Wagner Spray Tech Corp. recalled about 700,000 Wagner 900 Series Power Steamers sold in the United States because of a serious burn hazard. According to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), the steamer’s hose can become extremely hot, and the nozzle can spray scalding water during use and even after the trigger is released.
Wagner has received at least 156 reports of the hose overheating or the nozzle expelling hot water, including more than 50 burn injuries to users’ arms, hands, feet, and faces. Many were first- or second-degree burns.

What Should You Do If You Own a Recalled Steamer?
The CPSC advises consumers to stop using recalled steamers immediately and contact Wagner for a free repair kit, which includes a hose sleeve, nozzle cover, and funnel. You can reach Wagner at 800-962-6118, Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. ET, by email at us-wagnerrecall@wagner-group.com, or at wagnerspraytech.com/900-series-recall.
If you were injured, keep the steamer, its packaging, and any receipts, and photograph your injuries. These can be important evidence if you pursue a claim.
