Complex Litigation Attorney with Cross-Border and Trial Experience
Stacey Menjivar is an associate at Anapol Weiss, bringing a background in complex civil litigation across federal court, state court, military court, and arbitration proceedings.
Prior to joining Anapol Weiss, Stacey worked as an associate at an international law firm, where her commercial practice focused on U.S. commercial litigation, white collar investigations, and cross-border transactions. She also maintained a strong pro bono practice representing victims in wrongful death matters and serving as Special Victims’ Counsel to survivors of sexual assault in military tribunals. Stacey is a fluent Spanish speaker and has a full working proficiency in Portuguese. She has used her language skills to prepare Spanish-speaking witnesses for deposition and trial testimony and to conduct extensive fact discovery in cross-border investigations.
Stacey earned her J.D. from Harvard Law School, where she served as Executive Editor for Online Content of the Civil Rights and Civil Liberties Law Review, co-president of the Harvard Immigration Project, and Vice President of the Women’s Law Association. During her time in law school, Stacey gained extensive clinical experience as a student attorney at the Harvard Immigration and Refugee Clinic and the Harvard Cyberlaw Clinic, and as an intern at the Media Freedom and Information Access Clinic (MFIA) at Yale Law School. She was the 2022 recipient of the Clinical Legal Education Association's Outstanding Clinical Student Award.
Stacey serves as a board member for the National Crime Victim Law Institute, a national organization that promotes victim-centered legal advocacy and education, and as a member of the Legal Advisory Committee for the Amica Center for Immigrant Rights in Washington, D.C.
