Top Roblox Games Where Predators Lurk: A Parent’s Guide to Spotting Grooming Hotspots

By: Anapol Weiss

Jun 12, 2025

We won’t sugarcoat it: Roblox is an unsafe gaming platform for your kids. Anapol Weiss has recently filed lawsuits on behalf of an Indiana girl who was sexually assaulted by a man she met on the platform, as well as on behalf of a New Jersey boy who was groomed, a Florida girl who was sexually exploited, and a Texas girl who was attacked after a predator she met online broke into her bedroom. These lawsuits highlight Roblox’s egregious negligence and failure to protect the innocent children they market to.

With new games popping up all the time — approximately 30,000 are added per day — we wanted to go ahead and compile a list of the top Roblox games where sexual predators may lurk. If you see your child playing or referencing these games, intervene and stop use immediately.

Most Dangerous Roblox Games Parents Need to Watch For

Roblox has approximately 40 million games available on the platform. While some have adult ratings, many of them are accessible — and even marketed to — players of all ages. This means that groomers and sexual predators have access to a virtual playground that creates a foundation for abuse.

When it comes to identifying the most dangerous games on Roblox, parents must be mindful of two key factors. First, predators are more likely to infiltrate games that are targeted to players of all ages. As such, parents can’t trust that what appears to be a child-friendly game on the surface, such as Dress to Impress (which we’ll discuss below), is safe.

Second, predators are looking for games with limited supervision, allowing them to engage in predatory behavior more easily. At the time of publication, Roblox is believed to employ between 1,500 and 2,000 moderators, despite having nearly 98 million daily active users. This startling discrepancy highlights how easy it is for predators to get away with grooming behaviors, resulting in life-altering abuse for their victims.

Concerns have been raised about the following games:

Club Iris

Club Iris is a popular social gaming hub themed around a nightclub that can accommodate up to 50 players simultaneously. In it, players can dance and socialize with one another via voice chat.

The game has a moderate maturity level, meaning that it contains moderate violence and fear, light realistic blood, or crude humor. Numerous reports have emerged alleging that some players engage in sexually suggestive behavior, including lap dances and sexual advances. Even with the moderate maturity label, Club Iris is still accessible — and marketed— to children as young as 13 years old.

Dress to Impress

Dress to Impress is another game that, on the outside, appears innocent but can expose your child to inappropriate sexual content. Centered around fashion, Dress to Impress offers players the chance to create fun outfits and show off their unique style. The catch: the avatars start their fashion journey in a department store, dressed only in their underwear.

Dress to Impress is marketed to all ages and has limited supervision, making exposure to inappropriate sexual content more likely, including inappropriate outfit choices (fishnets are just one of many examples). In addition to voice chat, it also offers in-game chatting. Remember, avatars are real people from around the world, so you never know who is playing it, or who your child is interacting with.

Furthermore, because of its “All Ages” rating, predators may use voice changers to disguise themselves, leading innocent children into believing they’re talking with someone around their age. Parents, beware of this one!

Welcome to Bloxburg

In Welcome to Bloxburg, players can build and decorate their own house, customize their wardrobe, get a job to earn money, and much more. Instances of inappropriate sexual roleplaying have been reported with this game, so parents need to pay extra attention.

Another pitfall of this game is related to the option to make in-game purchases. This is a tactic predators commonly use to groom children. For example, once a predator has gained your child’s trust, they may ask for a photo to be sent to them on Snapchat in exchange for Roblox money — also called Robux — to fund their Bloxburg city. Parents, please be mindful of any new purchases you see in the game. It may signify conversations with a predator.

There’s also another problem with Welcome to Bloxburg: its widespread accessibility. Prior to June 2024, Welcome to Bloxburg was a pay-to-play game. Even if you have a “No Roblox” rule in your house, your child may still have access to this game at school, on their phone, or at a friend’s house.

Boys and Girls Dance Club

Boys and Girls Dance Club lets avatars dress and dance inappropriately with one another and even engage in romantic scenes, such as kissing. It even grants players access to a bedroom. It, too, offers in-game chat features that may include adult language and themes inappropriate for kids. Like others on this list, Boys and Girls Dance Club is labeled as suitable for everyone.

Meep City

Similar to Welcome to Bloxburg, Meep City lets users customize their own homes, in addition to playing games, earning coins, and chatting with up to 40 different players.

The game previously allowed for parties, where players could either join or host a MeepCity house. While this feature was initially available only to players with Roblox+, it was removed following reports of inappropriate content. However, don’t let that removal lure you into a false sense of security. Concerns remain that Meep City may still expose children to sexual content due to reports of ongoing roleplaying and inappropriate chat activity. To bypass the chat filter, some predators may use symbols to replace letters in sexually explicit words.

Shower Simulator

Roblox banned Shower Simulator, and as of June 1, 2025, it is no longer playable on the platform. In this game, players stripped down to their bathing suits and hopped into an oversized shower with one another. Leading to its ban, Shower Simulator had alleged reports of sexual content and erotic conversations between players.

If your child played Shower Simulator or mentions it, be on the lookout for conversations on other platforms, including Discord. Many predators move conversations off Roblox to elevate their abuse. While this particular game was banned, others like it are still available on the platform.

How Groomers And Sexual Predators Are Infiltrating Roblox Games

As mentioned above, sexual predators are looking for games that have limited adult supervision. Furthermore, they’re looking for games that appeal to young children.

When they have identified their target, they first try to establish trust. After striking up a casual conversation, they could begin showering their victim with compliments or serving as a sounding board for stereotypical teen angst. For example, the predator could agree that the punishment the child received for not doing their homework was too harsh. Predators know how to gain a child’s trust and once they do, will usually suggest moving the conversation off Roblox and onto even less-monitored sites such as Discord and Snapchat before the abuse elevates even further.

While the digital age has offered many conveniences, it’s becoming alarmingly clear that it’s also offering many dangers. Even when parental controls are enacted, these sexual predators are still getting through and exposing innocent children to illicit content, and worse, subjecting them to life-altering abuse.
