On October 15, 2020, Partner Miriam Barish hosted a Virtual Networking Luncheon for her fellow Widener University Law School Alumna called “Innovative Lawyering During Covid.” Miriam organized the event to discuss the impact that COVID 19 has had on the practice of law. The luncheon also served as an opportunity to reconnect, enjoy lively discussions, renew old friendships, make new acquaintances and network in a virtual setting. The luncheon was conducted by the Widener Women’s Network, a Widener Law School alumnae association designed to promote efforts to develop networking relationships with other alumnae.
Miriam offered her insights on managing a law practice in the current environment from the perspective of a Partner at Anapol Weiss, a nationally recognized civil litigation law firm specializing in representing injured plaintiffs. The luncheon also featured Tabatha Castro, Esquire, the owner and principal of the Castro Law Firm, a boutique firm focusing on practical solutions for families and small businesses. Tabatha provided her insights into practicing law during these unforeseen times.
