Jury Trials in Philadelphia are Postponed to 2021
The First Judicial District of Pennsylvania Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas, due to ongoing concerns relating to the COVID-19 pandemic, will not schedule a civil jury trial until Monday, January 4, 2021.
What Does this Mean For You?
If you had a trial scheduled before January 4, 2021, we will make sure to obtain a new trial date. We continue to settle cases even though the courts are closed.
Because of the increase in COVID-19 cases most of our employees have returned home where they work hard for our clients. We are still able to hold depositions, do discovery, and communicate with opposing counsel from our homes. In some cases, we may recommend a case be heard by a Judge remotely, without a jury. If that is an option, we will discuss this with you.
