A dedicated advocate for justice, Catelyn has been a driving force within the firm’s Pharmaceutical and Medical Device Mass Tort Litigation practice, where her passion for protecting victims—particularly women affected by harmful products—has distinguished her as a leader in her field.
Catelyn is a key member of the firm’s Women’s Health Litigation Group, where her expertise and dedication have contributed to significant victories for clients. Her notable successes include her integral role in securing a $1 billion verdict against Johnson & Johnson and DePuy Orthopaedics Inc., as well as a $247 million verdict in subsequent litigation involving defective metal-on-metal hip implants. These landmark results reflect her exceptional skill and unwavering commitment to holding corporations accountable.
With an extensive background in mass tort litigation, Catelyn has contributed to high-profile multidistrict litigations (MDLs) involving pharmaceutical drugs and medical devices, including cases related to transvaginal mesh, Zantac, and PPI. Her leadership and litigation acumen have earned her a reputation as a national leader in these complex cases. Beyond her courtroom achievements, Catelyn is a sought-after speaker at legal conferences and has authored numerous publications on mass tort litigation and trial practice. Catelyn is currently focusing her practice on the Ozempic MDL.
“Catelyn’s promotion to partner is a testament to her hard work, exceptional legal talent, and dedication to our clients,” said Kila Baldwin, shareholder at Anapol Weiss. “Her advocacy and leadership have been pivotal in advancing justice for victims, particularly women disproportionately harmed by dangerous products.”
Catelyn’s dedication extends beyond her professional work. She is deeply involved in legal and community organizations, including the Pennsylvania Association for Justice, the American Association for Justice, and the Brehon Irish Law Society, where she recently served as president. Catelyn’s promotion marks an exciting new chapter in her career as she continues to champion the rights of individuals and families impacted by corporate negligence.
Congratulations to Catelyn McDonough on this well-deserved achievement!
